Dear Betty,
Tonight I did merch at Yves Klein Blue. They moved the merch desk to next to the stage so I was too busy being deaf to think about you not being at the door. I wore your shoes so even though you weren’t here, you kinda are. Also I figured they’d be good for kicking people who tried to sneak under the merch desk, at this point the only one whose tried is trav, but he was bringing me a drink so I guess that’s okay.
One of the guys from Yves Klein Blue just asked me what saffs short for. I told him Riff Raff Saff. He looked at me with a blank look on his face (considering he’s wearing a paisley shirt I’m surprised this actually made him look more confused). I tried to explain the game to him and he decided it was NRL without the touchdowns. I nodded and let him rant about NRL and how its SO similar to a sport he’s never heard of. He wandered off singing a nameless tune, probably heading back to the band room for another drink.
Trav says to say Hi, he’s rather confused as to why I’m writing a letter (and was in awe of my touch typing skills as his new favourite game is pulling keyboard letters off and swapping them around).
The BC has been populated with woo girls in pink dresses and floral patterns, we also have couches now, scattered around. They make me want to curl up and sleep instead of selling merch. That said im doing derby paperwork instead of actually selling anything. The bands so far have sold $14 worth of merch and my fee is $150 so lets hope it picks up.
Not much to report of the crazy variety. I have bruised thighs once again from landing on my skates on Tuesday and lovely rink rash, one day I will learn to wear stockings on hot days, but until then rink rash is my friend.
Time to count out and go home.
you should be getting off the plane soon.
xoxo

Darling heart,
ReplyDeleteDo you mean to tell me the BC got rid of the ugly furniture? Is it too much to hope that it was simply incinerated outside on the footpath?
Its 7.30am Gtown time, on bout day. I am missing you and the Bombs very much. Right about now would be prebout breakfast and coffee and loading up the 6 million things I would somehow be in charge of. I have my fingers crossed for the Bombs, surely it is our turn now?
missing you
xx
